Faster Than the Speed of Light
Faster than the speed of light... No, I'm not talking about our teen drivers. (Although Nate didn't stop fast enough a few weeks ago and got in his first fender bender...)
Faster than the speed of light refers to the the speed of the days and weeks and months in the steady progression of years that lead to the teen crowd (and their parents) getting older. To be honest, it's freaking me out a little.
In six months, I'll have an 18 year old.
In a little more than a month, we celebrate three years with Gabby in our family.
Megan plays soccer and basketball like it really matters now because in a few short years, she'll be choosing a college.
Joie has been with us for six years, and goes to high school next year.
Jeran has a kissing part in the school play, but I think they're leaving out the kissing part.
Next Sunday will be the first primary program in 14 years that I won't have any children in primary. They're all in Young Women's or Young Men's now. (Primary is the children's organization in our church and YW and YM are the youth programs.)
I feel stuck in a time warp. I want to freeze time.
Instead time is moving faster than the speed of light, and this story will one day be known as Blink and You'll Miss It.
